Danny Dempsey is the founder of Onyx‑13. He built it alone. From a clear position, personal savings, and a refusal to produce anything he wouldn't wear himself.

He is not a fashion person. He has no interest in what the industry considers fashionable. He has an interest in quality, in craft, and in making something that holds its shape after a hundred washes.

Onyx‑13 is based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. That is not a detail. That is a decision.

The number 13 is not random. It is not a branding exercise. It carries personal meaning the brand has no interest in performing for anyone.

Onyx. Black stone. Formed under pressure. Dense. Permanent. The kind of material that does not pretend to be something else.

The two words together say what the brand is. The rest is in the work.

03 The Mark

The Celtic tribal bird on the left chest was not bought, sourced, or commissioned. It was drawn from scratch. Hours of work to arrive at something that could not be mistaken for anyone else's.

It is embroidered — not printed, not transferred — at HiFive in Ballina, Co. Mayo. Each hoodie handled individually. The thread chosen deliberately. The placement exact.

04 The Standard

Four things that do not move. Not with trend cycles. Not with cost pressure. Not with anyone's opinion.
